Yatish started his journey with YMAA at the original London school in 2003, learning both Shaolin and Taijiquan. His dedication to these traditional Chinese martial arts quickly became evident, leading him to consistently deepen his understanding and skills. He has attended international camps regularly over the years in Poland, France, and Portugal, immersing himself in intensive training and connecting with fellow practitioners from around the globe. These experiences have not only honed his technical abilities but also broadened his perspective on the rich heritage of YMAA. In 2008, he had the invaluable opportunity to travel to Taiwan with Master Yang, a pivotal experience that further cemented his commitment to the art. Today, Yatish continues to train diligently under Zibi, demonstrating a sustained passion for martial arts development and a desire to continuously refine his practice.

Ian's martial arts journey began in South Africa, where he immersed himself in Chinese Kung Fu under the tutelage of Master Su Chin Meil of Taiwan. This foundational training also introduced him to the graceful movements of Yang Style Tai Chi, establishing a deep connection to traditional Chinese internal arts.

Upon moving to England in 2002, Ian further dedicated himself to his practice, delving into the intricacies of the Old Chen Form at the esteemed Chinese Internal Arts Association (CIAA). His commitment to these ancient disciplines is evident in his role as a teacher, sharing his knowledge of Chen Form and Chi Kung with students in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. Ian's pursuit of mastery is ongoing; he presently refines his skills under the guidance of Zibi Panasewicz and finds immense joy and continued learning at intensive training camps in Poland and Portugal with Master Robert Was and Pedro Rodrigues. His lifelong dedication to internal martial arts continues to evolve, enriching both his personal practice and the community he teaches.
